What is GOSPEL NERVE?

Gospel Nerve Cafe is a quiet little place in the world designed to inspire, to renew and to excite. I call her the online coffee house for the spirit and the soul. As quiet as it’s kept, Gospel Nerve is the product of a divorce.

I married a violent man and didn’t see it.  When I finally experienced the extent of his rage, I couldn’t stay.  In the wake of that decision I discovered the “night call,” that gnawing, longing feeling in the evenings that drew me to my computer when everyone was asleep.    At each days end I didn’t have the noise that comes from hiding in my work or my family to drown out the sounds of my heart aching.  And I seemed to long for a place that could encourage me.

Whether it had been a great day or a painful one, I wanted a place that spoke to my spirit and gave the kind of words that God could use to help mend my brokenness.  I was looking for something.  I found some beautiful places online that understood what I was dealing with on the inside and could help . . . in the beginning.  But as I started to heal and remove the mess that lead me to that man in the first place, I wanted Word in plain talk. I wanted a place that knew that hurt and danger were real but a place that also understood that hope-passion-life can, should and will (with a little faith and big PUSH) go on into a beautiful future.

So I took a page from my dad, I decided to become what I wanted to have and that becoming is Gospel Nerve. I hope you enjoy it.  Stay awhile and
