Part 5c: More For Your Wallet

in FAITH (heart condition)

Well, I received a few requests for some scripture suggestions that are perfect for the pocket. Honestly it just depends on what you are dealing with at the time. My favorite spot to hunt down life changing scriptures for my wallet/purse/back pocket is Proverbs. I just believe that the Proverbs can turn you into a PRO. Just by applying what you learn in that one book you could become a PRO at relationships, business, money as well as developing the kind of character that will walk you into the life that you’ve dreamed of. But don’t take my word for it, check it out. Try this:

(1) Read one chapter a day for the next 6 months. When the time has passed you will have read each chapter 6 times a piece. It’s a painless way to keep hearing and hearing until you retain the heart of Proverbs.
(2) As you read write down your favorite scriptures and feel free to post these new favorites or life changing scriptures here for someone else to put in their pocket. This way we can help each other out. (And I know that some of you hate to post, so just shoot me an email, I will post it for you (anonymously, if you want to remain anonymous)
(3) In case you where wondering where to start, use the date. Today is the 11th so start reading PRO 11. Tomorrow will be the 12th so read PRO 12 tomorrow. If you miss a day just get back on the wagon and start with that day. For those months that are short a day or two just read all the remaining chapters on the last day of the month (it will never be more than 3 chapters on that day).

Here is one that I like, PRO 23:33 AMP
“[Under the influence of wine] your eyes will behold strange things [and loose women] and your mind will utter things turned the wrong way [untrue, incorrect, and petulant].” Alcohol and violence ended my marriage. A man (or woman) choosing to live by this could save their relationship.

Here’s another, PRO 24:3-4 AMP
“Through skillful and godly Wisdom is a house (a life, a home, a family) built, and by understanding it is established [on a sound and good foundation], And by knowledge shall its chambers [of every area] be filled with all precious and pleasant riches.” I want a certain kind of life. I want my family to flow. I want my home just so. This scripture lets me know that it’s not just going to fall from the sky. I’ll need to do something, get more Wisdom, develop more skill, build the kind of character that will give me the life I want and help me to keep it tight and right.

Anyway, it’s your turn, you add some (pocket scriptures) . . .
